For men who feel self-conscious about their chest, a breast-reduction surgery or gynecomastia correction may help. The procedure involves removal of fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts. Breast reduction can be performed on healthy men of any age. During your initial consultation with Dr. Weisberg/Dr. Cederna, he will examine your breasts and check for causes of the gynecomastia. If a medical problem is the suspected cause, you will be referred to an appropriate specialist. If not, the doctor will then determine how much fat and glandular tissue is contained within the breasts. He will choose and discuss and discuss with you a surgical approach that best suit your needs.
